LaGuardia fine art majors made a collection in remembrance the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 entitled "10 years later" during the class of the professor Bruce, one of his students was me Luz Orozco.
When I was little I used to dream repeatedly that I was in the middle of a field and I was there, painting the valley in front of me, now my dreams come true, I am painter.
Last semester one of the assignments for my inter-media painting class was to make an artwork tribute for the 10th anniversary of the unfortunate tragedy to the twin towers.  Because it is an important and so delicate subject I wanted to do in my painting a very rich and clean artwork.  My painting was made in an abstract technique with acrylic paintings over a yeso medium as a first base with the intention to give it texture to my geometric forms which represent the city looking from heaven.  The color white was chosen in homage to the cold and the snow characteristic of New York and the combination of red, black, and gold colors represents the victims of this tragedy.
As a LaGuardia student is a privilege being part of this exposition and I am very proud of myself for be able to communicate my feelings and thoughts and transformer in art.
